Rear view mirror
Mother to Mother - may I tell you Jordan has always wound up safe. The most was just recently. Not being able to persuade Jordan to get in either car we stayed with him driving at a very slow pace, his father way behind and I way in front; just far enough to see him in my rear view mirror. I even had a man that pulled up behind me and said "I noticed that you have been following this young man, do you know him?" "Yes, I know him, I know him very well and we will be at this for a bit longer!" (he then proceeded to write down my license plate)! After 2 hours, Jordan finally got tired and got in to my car. Safe again. Our children are special and do special things. Some where along the line we have to see the humor in it. I could share more stories, such as the time in Chicago when he ran from the school and after hours of searching (in the rain) did I find my him at the police station with a big smile on his face! (taken from an email to another mother, 07-07)
